Consortia

The following consortia are involved in the development of XGAP.

• CASIMIR consortium:
  CASIMIR, is a coordination action of the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission, and focusses on co-ordination and integration of databases containing experimental data, including sequences, and material resources such as biological collections, relevant to the use of the mouse as a model organism for human disease. ​http://casimir.org.uk/

• GEN2PHEN consortium
  The GEN2PHEN project aims to unify human and model organism genetic variation databases towards increasingly holistic views into Genotype-To-Phenotype (G2P) data, and to link this system into other biomedical knowledge sources via genome browser functionality. ​http://www.gen2phen.org/

• PANACEA consortium for C. elegans
  The PANACE project studies the nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans as an important model for the identification and characterization of genes underlying complex diseases in humans. They use XGAP to share genetics, molecular and phenotype data, models and tools within the project to answer the questions how the genetic background affects complex disease signaling pathways and whether we can predict the effect of the genetic background on these pathways. ​http://www.panaceaproject.eu/UK/

• Netherlands Bioinformatics Center/Biobanking? platform'
  The NBIC organization aims to develop and harmonize bioinformatics platforms for the Dutch Life Science community. It is adopting XGAP to accomodate the development of a national platform for GWAS studies. ​http://www.nbic.nl
