BiobankCatalog

The biobank catalog is a joint effort between ​UMCG/RUG Genomics Coordination Center, ​NBIC biobank platform, ​LifeLines and ​BBMRI-NL to produce a tool to catalog and search biobank metadata (questionaires, measurements, etc).

Main objectives are:

1. allow epidemiological and genetics researchers to find appropriate biobanks and
2. to allow them to define what data they would like to request from the biobank and
3. to actually execute such data extraction given suitable consent.

The project builds on top of the PhenoFlow project developed by GCC, EBI, FIMM, U Leicester and GEN2PHEN. All sourcecode can be found in that project at ​http://www.molgenis.org/pheno
